Сцена купания младенца Диониса в декорации театров Малой Азии: истоки иконографии и римский контекст

Аннотация

C середины II в. н.э. в рельефной декорации театров в Малой Азии — Нисы, Перги и Сиды — появляется сцена омовения младенца Диониса нимфами. Композиция имеет устойчивую иконографию. Включение сцены в состав повествовательных циклов, изображение фигуры Гермеса (в Нисе, Перге) и Зевса (в Сиде) на соседних плитах позволяют связать ее с мифом о рождении Диониса из бедра Зевса и воспитании бога нисейскими нимфами. Несмотря на известность легенды, первые примеры изображения купания Диониса появляются в римском искусстве лишь на рубеже I в. до н.э. — I в. н.э. в живописной декорации и кладах аристократических домов Рима и Кампании, а также в рельефной декорации саркофагов. В научной литературе появление этой иконографии связывается с установлением культа Диониса Гебона в Неаполе в правление Августа. Ко II в. данная сцена основательно входит в репертуар рельефной декорации саркофагов и декоративных программ театров, в IV столетии появляются ее вариации, где место Диониса занимает Ахилл или Александр Великий. Анализ памятников указывает на более ранние истоки данной сцены, и в настоящей статье предпринимается попытка их прояснения. Помимо этого авторами устанавливаются причины обращения к сюжету в контексте культурной среды Римской империи, выявляются семантические аспекты сцены. В результате проведенного исследования была выдвинута гипотеза об эллинистических прототипах образа младенца Диониса и его связи с концепцией наступления «золотого века» в Риме. Слияние образов императора и Диониса, новые аспекты, связанные с культом нимф, позволяют увидеть в сцене купания намек на образ «императора-дитя». В контексте культуры и визуальной саморепрезентации малоазийских городов присутствие сцены купания Диониса в декоративных циклах среди сюжетов местных легенд, по всей видимости, свидетельствует об интеграции местных культов в имперскую мифологему.
